2014 begins. As always, I have a good feeling. And I refuse
to believe that this year will be anything but spectacular. As far as I’m
concerned, (and despite a vicious food poisoning episode on New Year’s eve) the
year’s already started off brilliantly.
But before I bid a complete adieu to 2013, I thought I’d
chronicle some yays and nays of the year just gone.
1.
I never did my Yoga Teacher’s Training. The
timing just wasn’t right. Ever. I have a feeling that 2014 will be the
year. I just hope the kind folks at the Sivananda centre don’t write me off as
that loony who keeps writing to us but never shows up for the training.
2.
I did an awesome trip to Greece with 5 wonderful
women, each of whom is a special kind of Goddess (in keeping with the Greek
theme) and incredibly fun. Women friends rule.
3.
I rode a quad bike for the first time and loved
it (courtesy Greece trip).
4.
I bought my Macbook Air, a constant companion nowadays.
5.
I made some quirky new friends, some of them
most unexpected. And I’m very grateful for having chanced upon them.
6.
Sadly, a special friend flowed out of my life as
well.
7.
I saw my first ever double rainbow J (If you look closely at the picture you'll just about see the second one)
8.
I didn’t achieve my many ambitious fitness
goals. Mostly because I hemmed and hawed my way through getting around to them.
All fitness efforts this year will be directed towards completing my Yoga
Training.
9.
I didn’t do as much writing as I wanted to. BUT,
I did start a blog. Again. And managed to write a little bit. Plus, I landed a
fun writing project, which I’m excited about.
10. Work
was good, and terrible, and ok and then good again. I expect big things this
year. Unfortunately I’m quite sure I won’t be able to put the word ‘big’ before
increment L
11. I
had a fabulous new haircut and got many compliments for it J
12. Phala
got married. Woohoo. And we have a new member in the family.
13. I
never did start that food blog with the roomie. Big Fail. And we have video
evidence of this being a 2013 resolution.
14. The
roomie and I also never got married (another 2013 resolution). Boys, there’s
hope for you, yet.
15. I
went to the Ajmer Dargah Sharif with my 2 besties J. It was a quickie trip and also my only train trip in 2013.
16. I
did one thing that scared me. I'm not telling.
17. I
got 2 more tattoos.
18. I
travelled to Dubai for the first time.
All in all, a pretty good year.
And now on to 2014.
